Leader's Role in Implementing Continuous Improvement
Experience in implementing the Lean culture and various Lean methods in Bucher Municipal SIA from 2014 to 2022 and in Caljan LSEZ SIA from 2022.
She has implemented and improved such methods as visual standards, 6S workshops, Kaizen workshops, the idea management system, the daily meetings’ system, the Lean teams, and she has worked on improving various security issues. Over the last year, she introduced a new Quality Management tool in the company for improving the documentation system. She has organised events for the BEA members at Bucher Municipal, and she has been a guest lecturer at the Bachelor and Master programmes at the Ventspils University of Applied Sciences.
She has a BA in Cultural Management (Liepāja University), a Msc in Business Management (Ventspils University of Applied Sciences), and she studied Msc in Lean Enterprise at the University of Buckingham, UK. Furthermore, she is a certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. She has taken courses on and studied Lean in Latvia and abroad as well as by implementing it in Bucher Municipal SIA and Caljan LSEZ SIA. She selflessly shares her experience and expertise with other companies.
She believes that Lean cannot be implemented without the involvement and accountability of the leadership, which is why she would like to highlight this topic.
